My apologies for butchering his awesome character. *cowers in fear*
A few things this has helped me realize:
-I need to learn bone structures of animals
-I need to learn how to draw scales convincingly
-I need to make things seem less plain by either shading or draw a random background for the viewers to focus on and less on my craptacular abilities
-Which in turn means I have to learn how to shade properly

Is that only after I started considering the "extra volume" on my character's crotches, I realized how artificial and plain they looked. I used to think they had longer legs for that, it was all an ilusion due to that missing inch on the crotch length (but not on girls of course).
