Looking for answers

Tonight I looked at the sky
And saw your dark eye
It brightened to path
That I lingered before
Showing me where to go
From here on out

My wings ruined
My paws scraped and bleeding
The path that holds you
Is the path that will take weeks to meet
My heart is pounding
As I cry here in the snow
And howl at the night shine blue

The moon shall guide my path
As I travel through night and day
I'll wait there for your arrival
Even if that means finding your shadow
