From a personal point of view, I can understand. Maintaining 2 different accounts can be difficult. It can be useful when you want to distance and distinguish between 2 highly different types of content with 2 different target audiences (safe/p0rn for example), but otherwise it can become a handicap because if the peoples do not pay attention it can miss 50% of your work because it is on the other account.
In the Royz/latex case, I find this split not very relevant at the moment. Latex is mentioned as "Adult works" but if you open the first page of the galleries of each of the two accounts, they are identical. Only a tiny minority of works are more "adult", and even then lighter, all depending on the sensitivity of each.
