She doesn't mind the word, but I could see other werewolves in this setting might not be fans. Monster in this context is just about being a large dangerous being. I feel monster is an apt way to describe a grizzly bear for instance, not because they are evil or unnatural but just their form is large and capable of great violence. Sara is nearly seven feet tall in here were form and can rip a car door off of its hinges. At the same time she is a loving and caring person who would not do anyone harm if she could avoid it.
I really appreciate your description here. It's something I like to think about too for the dragons of my lore. They set up all these rules to keep them from doing bad things and giving into primal desires, while many splinters don't care about it and just give in to the dangerous side if them.
Really cool of you to think about this

I just wanna say I really like the way you're approaching this whole concept. Too many stories I've read have the human all too eager to jump into becoming a werewolf, which is just unrealistic and kinda cliché around these parts. A normal person would be extremely cautious about taking this step, even if they do eventually decide they're willing to be turned.
