Haha yea, wings are optional XD In her story, her body actually rejects/sheds them often due to the clash of her genes.

I've never seen the usage of "unside" before, and was unsure of the meaning.
So, I googled it, and saw the forth link down.

There is an opening in her chest that she pulls apart to reveal the keyhole (the function of her clockwork is to keep panels moving that keep her heart pumping pretty much.) That’s what the chest floof is hiding ^^
