The Adventures of Patrick and Steffen
Well... what can I say about this one... I need to explain a few things because there is quite a huge and personal background story.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED in the background, I highly suggest you read this... it's worth it!
Back in 1992 I've started my very FIRST comic book... long before "Reptile" or anything else! It was something personal, just between my best friend (at the time) and myself.
The innocent comic lasted for 5 years and was completely done by hand on paper... pens, pencils and markers.
It was about "The Adventures of Patrick and Steffen" - two kids who battle evil and protect their home, town, country... even Earth!
Sounds generic, BUT REALLY COOL!
Patrick and Steffen encountered aliens, dinosaurs, cartoon characters, they faced war, pain, suffering and... well, let me show you what I mean:

Here you can see the evolution of my characters from 1992 to 2008! And it's obvious that they grew with me... they became older, more adult and... way too serious.
It was a comic between kids... for kids.
I wanted this to me a kid friendly comic again!
I wanted to restore my characters in a way children can enjoy it!
Here it is: The revival of my very first comic characters!
About the artwork itself... since I wanted a "kids show" feeling and since this isn't quite my cup of tea you can see that I've used some rather obvious references (Pokemon, etc.)... but I'm fine with that.
The style is perfect for my characters and my very own understanding of a good "kid show". And this cartoon wouldn't cost THAT much, I suppose.
XD
Anyway... I hope you enjoy!

ALL the references of yesteryear came crashing in on me all in one picture!
Thanks for the description it was quite interesting and even though I had seen your work of these guys before, I did not know of their significance! Love the piece and the history < 3

Wow. 1992 !. Year of great changes for me. ( In 1990 I had already written the draft of my first science fiction story as well). The central idea of your comic, two adventurous children, reminds me of a Chilean children's comic, Ogu and Mampato. That I used to read as a child. It would be wonderful if you could develop that work for children. ( Now that I have two :))
Oh, my old comics did not only use "ALIEN"... I've ripped off "Marvel", "Invasion of Mars", "Transformers", "Robocop" and much, much more!
XD
It really was a fun time but... I still like this new design very much! It's cool to see those guys again... in a version that fits the tone!

I know you said you don't like your older, more serious take on the characters, but I honestly really love them.
The 2008 art is my favorite, it's such a drastic improvement over everything else that came before it. It definitely looks like something I'd love to read, a comic about two badass guys who go around hunting monsters and stuff.
