Might be a slight oversight on the part of the artist... HOWEVER, since this is a sci-fi piece and assuming this is an advanced civilization with advanced technology, they probably have some sort of gravity manipulating tech going on there. If you had the gravity slightly above microgravity states, you could achieve plenty of zero-G-like floating with a subtle amount of pull towards the deck. Keep things more or less in place, save power and enjoy the fun physics of low gravity, right? What's to say artificial gravity can't be focused too? Makes some sense to keep it by the beds where people sleep so that their cardio-vascular systems can stay healthy. Microgravity isn't good for people over the long-term.
Really, I'm just pulling some of this out of my ass and probably overthinking it, but again, it's science-fiction. To quote Arthur C. Clarke's third law. “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

I thought about that too with what the commissioner wanted, so I did a little digging and yeah, future tech could be anywhere advanced in this piece
My idea was the bed was in a chamber itself, with a thin shield wall running from the frame build, but i didnt wanna make it too apparent since the focus was the planet and the site
