Soul Fire
They fell through thin ice while crossing a river as a child. A phoenix in the night witnessed their passing, and brought them back to life.
To revive them, the phoenix took their heart, and replaced it with a burning fire that keeps them alive.
The wisps of smoke and fire they produce often break off into feather-like shapes.
When under severe physical distress, the shimmer in their coat fades, and the flame within their chest dims to mere sparks.
When agitated, their teeth can super heat to deliver a scorching bite.
