From 2020:
One thing that happened during 2020 was I was brought on by my stepdads small business to design some things for him. I'm into Rockabilly regardless and when I found Tiki Culture it was like everything sort of clicked for me - its the atomic era still, islandy and focuses on the polynesian culture, so it was like I found my niche properly. I did initially worry about cultural appropriate until someone said "you do realise this is your culture right?" Oh yeah. XD;;

While you may not know the history of "Bob" - he was a white faced design from San Francisco, and since then Bobs have been made in various styles. I played with the idea of a Totem Bob and had doodled this up, which then was 3D sculpted and turned into a mould to produce ceramics from. Our first mug was produced near the end of 2020 but there are a few more designs that I was commissioned for that hopefully will be in production over the next year or so. I'm excited to have a cocktail glass that I made. While the 3D sculpt is a little different it really added more bamboo to the design and made it cohesive across the entire piece.
