I KNOW NOW that Cancel Culture involves a person or persons being ostracized, whether in RL or Online, from some Social or professional circles. A lot of this is done when a specific person, like a celebrity or a great political figure, does something highly controversial to warrant heavy negative opinion. Opinions are the beginning of Movements, Movements lead to radical change.

Recently I read on twitter that Bruce Willis was asked to leave a Rite Aid because he didn't wear his mask. I was contemplating whether I can still enjoy his movies if he's an anti masker. After doing research I read he was apologetic and Willis admitted making poor judgment.
If he had staunchly took an anti masking stance I would choose to 'cancel' watching his movies further.
I am currently canceling J.K. Rowling as she is a staunch transphobe.
I refuse to buy her products.

You don't have to do something "highly controversial," it just has to be outside of or in contrast to the mainstream Media narrative.
The media is a monopoly. Disney, for example, owns ABC News, Vice News, ESPN, Pixar, Star Wars, and most of the super hero movies coming out.
The narrative is spread piecemeal through those various entertainment and "news" outlets to give the impression of a shared belief in the population, which is almost always "astroturf" (meaning "fake grass" as in "fake grassroots movements").
If you want an example, feel free to check out my gallery. I don't make any money from my art, but that doesn't stop people from attempting to "cancel" my artwork.
