It has been some almost 13 years now since the time we finished the campaign of World at War and were chucked into a little unknown mode at the credits. Oh how that cutscene following scared me surely after completing such a story jut to be thrust into a whole new mode. I truly wonder who decided to put in Zombies but they definitely made a staple in the industry for the well known FPS shooter franchise. It would only expand from that foggy scary bunker!
Many a late nights spent playing Zombies and making memories of the spooky fun taking down in the hordes of the undead. Unlike the Operators from today, the four main characters were one of the best parts as well. Richtofen was always my favorite. That crazy man.
I never quite really understood the lore of the Zombies though. It seemed to follow a narrative that could understand about making undead army originally with some element from space only to suddenly turn into dimensional travel and space aliens by the later game. Understanding about so much as I do sitting for an hour listening to 40K lore videos; not much aha.
But Zombies been quite a part of my gaming life and have fond memories I wish to recreate once more. Cold War showing promise but needs some new material surely for Zombies mode which is definitely carrying it in most people's opinion. I still miss the original team though, zombies was zombies with them after all. But we shall continue to slay the hordes of undead boyz!
A hellishly good 115 Day to you all yes. Don't let the crawlers bite and remember to be an MVP and open that first door.
