Several months later, Elizabeth and Ren’lia stand together. Much like many couples, they photograph themselves together. Elizabeth is two weeks away from delivering their child. It stands as more proof that the war is not needed between humanity and the other Itrean clans.
Ren’lia is not just an Ivon but an Aksren. Much like the Shal’rein, there are two different Aksren among the Itreans. There are the Aksren of the Aksren clan and the Aksren of the T’rintar clan. The Aksren, in general, are believed to be descended from the oviraptors of former Earth. Their long nose like crests are apparent as they stand around the same height, if not taller than the Yutilians. The Aksren clan is considered by many as violent, snobbish, and aristocratic. The Aksren of the T’rintar clan, however, are far from that and face a similar prejudice. Many of the Aksren from the clan are clear friends and companions and are willing to sacrifice their own lives for the benefit of the T’rintar clan. The significant differences between the Aksren of both clans are the colors that they adorn. Aksren of the Aksren clan value the color red while the Aksren of the T’rintar clan value red and green. It is often seen in their clothing, armor, or their scales.
The Ivon, on the other hand, faces new solutions and possibilities among humans. Many that become mates with humans have themselves returned back to who they originally were since it is no longer truly needed and because of the preferences of the human mates in turn. That being said, however, humanity is more progressive now than ever. Recent studies show that some human women are willing to engage and become romantically involved with the Itrean Ivon. Intersexuality does very well exist even if it’s a minority. Studies already show that for every five men that marry an Itrean, one woman will find an ivon to marry in turn. Human women enjoy more privileges than human men, including choosing what their child will be from their Ivon partners. Ivon can be adjusted very easily to breastfeed children even if they are not the one delivering the child. The T’rintar clan also gives the same extensions and benefits towards human women and Ivons as human men and non-Ivon in turn.
Currently, the Ivon stands at about 38% of the Itrean population of all clans. Even with the human population in total, which is marginal compared to the vast Itrean population, the Ivon concept will remain for a while. The T’rintar clan makes it clear who is and who isn’t an Ivon on the United World Alliance Network (UWAN) “dating” sites. Procedures to have it undone are permitted and free when a clan member finds a human mate. There are even procedures to help the Ivon become the L’ivon (the permanent step beyond the ivon) for themselves and their partners. Like anything in the 24th century, every individual is different, and society does its best to respect it. No human or Itrean is genuinely alike, and a melting pot of trillions does its best to follow equality for all genders.
For Elizabeth and Ren’lia, they serve as the beginning of many. The Ivon hold their hopes in humanity and for their salvation. They can only hope that their child, like the many couples out there, will encourage the Itrean clan war to come to an end. The UWAN sites are easily available for all human beings to come and enjoy. The T’rintar clan are in need of mates. The question is, would you be interested in such an offer?
