Yes, I know... not much of a spoiler to my opinion.
In this part of the remix...
Mario TRIED to STOP him from sacrificing himself while he was facing Dusknoir alone, but failed to reach to him at the end cause he would of been sucked into it time warp and would NEVER return back.
Grovyle told Mario to "Don't Come Along, Let me die for sake of your's and the pokemon universe Collab, short red one! You have to do it for all of us... I'll be watching... you."
