Some thing I had a weird dream about, so I drew it.

The Plague queen does not cause death, only accelerates that of the infected, as though to end their suffering, even if they are not even aware of the infection. Some would try and court the Plague Queen, offer her gifts or favours in exchange for their life. To these she gifts a mask, and those who wear them become her Kings, bound to her being and becoming little more than extra appendages with which to grasp at the unfortunate souls she passes. They got what they wished for; to avoid immediate death by her mercy instead serving her till they wither away to nothing, as she leaves bones in her wake.

I see her as sort of a placid, motherly sort, though her Ire makes her give you a mask. XD (well you asked for it) Sort of like she wants to help by ending the suffering, by making death come swifter. A bit backwards by Plague doctor lore but hey. Spoopy dreams be spoopy.
