Another revamp of an older character, Maika. He needs a new name, since Maika just sounds weird. I'm think Darius, since it sounds regal, and since this guy's got a pretty interesting back story, it'd make sense (to me, anyway). I don't know, I'll have to do some more looking around for names.
At first I only had his head and shoulders (minus horns) sketched out first, and when I went through my art binder, I found the unfinished sketch after a month, so I decided to finish it. He's got a wider wingspan than any of my dragons so far, and I wanted to test out doing folds in the membrane. I kept with the original colors from his first drawing that you can see in the old character chart. So, I can understand if you think his colors are a little (or a lot) wonky.
On his horns: In the world my anthros live in, dragons most all the time have a curve to their horns. They can be altered to take certain shapes, but it's a tedious process that involves casts and headgear that the young anthro would have to wear for quite a while to get a desired horn design (of course, I expect it'd hurt some, too). Most dragons would prefer to keep horns closer to their heads to minimize problems with sleeping and other daily living activities, like being close to people.
Darius (?) belongs to me
