Machines that retain the entire function of how they were built with minimal (if any) organic movement capacity (keep the limbs hidden, or consider them non-cannonical). Basically a machine with a voice that can operate itself. Prime example.

By this definition monorails would still be acceptable, but as their non-organic capacity for movement is so limited it just doesn't click in my brain as a viable morph subject.

I like monorail, too. Its sad that our in Germany developed high speed monorail Transrapid never got any application. That thing made about 400kmh. This could make short distance flights obsolete when installed on much used routes between two big cities. It runs on electricity and would be a cool way helping the climate when used with renewable power.

The monorail I enjoy the most is the Disney world monorail. Its so exciting like a pre ride before entering the park. Can't wait for Corona to end to go onto vacation to Florida again.
