Anthro Singer Series. Piece #3 Kyo of Dir en grey
Dir en grey is my favorite band and Kyo is like a god to me when it comes to singing and songwriting. He's a musical genius and master.
*update* i got linked to some better references to Kyo's sleeves so i'm now happier with how this turned out a a whole

First thought wasn't kyo :/ I thought he had bleached hair
I also didn't know he had blue eyes
His body shape looks a bit off, thought he had wider hips
Also he is lacking of cuts on his torso from live stage cutting
And I think Kyo would be in a more dynamic pose
Not being a bitch, Im just saying, as a fan.. It didn't make me think of kyo

he's actually stopped stage cutting. and his scars are barely visible, i do have them there though they blend into the fur tone. As for the hair, it is bleached but he's let more of his natural hair color come back, the hair color i got came from the Hageshisa video and watching the Uroboros: With proof in the name of living dvd. And with the eye color i used and older photo where he had blue eyes because i couldn't find a decent picture of his eyes from recently.
The posing, is the same for the entire series, i wanted to go with the static pose to help the body and character. For what i was trying to accomplish, putting any of the singers in a dynamic pose is taking away the sole purpose of seeing what the singers would look like as anthropomorphic characters. And trust me, you didn't come off bitchy at all, i just about got crucified for making Kyo like this on Deviant Art.

Their new direction is good, is getting heavier... is just that I miss the screams, those screams were quite emotive. In his new song (Warsaw no gensou, cover) he does not scream anymore, he just does gutural and that cradle of filth like chill. I want those passionate screams back!
Yeah but just listen to their latest release, the budokan live concert... over there he barely screams, most part of the time is just going gutural. What saddens me about this is that he just does gutural to gain more american fans by sounding like death metal, also he´s not cutting himself anymore... *sigh* his best days already passed away.
See, i beg to differ, i don't think he's just doing the gutturals to gain more American bands, it' the sound that they're going for. Kyo's lyrics are deep, full of meaning, riddled with metaphors and imagery and most of all, dark The deep guttural it better withe dark imagery. The thing is though, he still does scream like he did on Marrow of the Bone, if not better, have you not listened to Uroboros or Hageshisa? Really, you think he's going downhill because he uses more gutturals and doesn't cut himself anymore? i'm sorry but i disagree
