Taomi - Before and now
This time on "Before and now"-series we see the evolution of one of my oldest characters, Taomi.
One the left is the oldest pic of him and on each pic I've wrote when each pic has been drewn.
On the most left is the first sketch of Taomi that I've ever made, drewn in July 2002. I still didn't keep this look on him because I though it looked too much Kovu from Lion King II. Also he originally was feral lion, not cat-lion like now, but he was still able to talk and use weapons. And he already had supernatural strenght, but he also was very smart, which is hard to believe now. Also his story wasn't happening in year 2050 like now, it was happening in present day. The name of Taomi's story was originally named as "Lion Ones".
Late summer 2002:
He still looked very much like on the first skecth, but now his hair was made in different way. This is a scene from old comic.
Fall 2002:
This look Taomi has for a very long time. When looking at this now, it looks like I went backwards because now he looked more horrible. Well he still looked more original in my opinion and I was so stupid anyway... Gee, I hate that stupid square hair... But I still don't understand why I removed all his scars...
Summer 2003:
Actually Taomi still has the same look, but now I added ear rings and wrist belts. This is a scene from the original comic-version of 2050: Destiny Of Ninja, which name was "Lion Ones" back then. At this scene he also worn a brow belt, but he worn this only on the original comic for awhile.
August 2003:
New, better eyes and better coloring on the hair. Yes, someone's hand is touching him, but I'm not telling whose >:3
Fall 2003:
New eyes, again. This is again from the original comic, notice the brow belt.
Spring 2004:
Now there was some major changes. Taomi started to use more weapons, especially swords, and that's why he started to also walk with two legs, but he still also walked with four legs too. Also he got a scar on his cheek.
But most importanty, now he also wasn't feral lion anymore, now he was a real anthro, a cat-lion. Also to be more original, he lost his tail D:
By the way, his main weapon was now "Sword of Light".
And that wasn't all! Now also his beast form http://kiljunator.deviantart.com/ar.....Taomi-95782230 showed up by getting angry, like nowadays as well! But unlike now, he still was able to control his beast-form.
And that wasn't all, now this series that Taomi is featuring was renamed as "Destiny of Ninja". And yes, the new name came from the fact that now Taomi also became a ninja.
Summer 2004:
Now he started to wear red bandanna to cover his mouth because of pimples, just like he does nowadays too. Because of this bandanna, he also now looked much more like a ninja :D
Fall 2004:
Now again there was major changes. Before this Taomi wasn't so dumb, but now he became dumb and slow what he still is as well. Also now he started to keep his mask on all the time and not showing his true face for a long time. Also there were changes on his look; for example his eyes were now more anime-styled.
Spring 2005:
New style on eyes and very horrible-looking muzzle. Also I removed the scar from his cheek and put it between his eyes, like on the first skecth of him from 2002.
Fall 2005:
Well now his hair looked much better and also I changes his ears; now they were more like cat's ears, making him now more like cat-lion (Though those ears back then looked more like horns than ears as you can see). Also now his story wasn't happening on present day anymore, it was happening in 2050 and that way I also created the "Tales from 2050 AD."-series, and Destiny of Ninja was now one story of this series.
This is a pic that I drew for one of my game that I was making with RPG-maker XP and on that game he got an armor. Yes, he's blushing on this scene, but just try to guess why >:3
Spring 2006:
This is again the scene from that game; notice the armor. Also now I renamed his sword, since the original name "Sword of Light" was too unoriginal. I renamed his sword as "Painkiller", after Judas Priest's really great song "Painkiller" (Taomi also likes their music X3 ).
Winter 2006:
On summer 2006 I started to make the new comic-version of "Lion Ones", now with it's new name "2050: Destiny of Ninja". At the same time Taomi also got new look and now he indeedly looked much better comparated to all the previous looks, especially his hair looked now better. But drawing him was still really damn hard.
2007:
In spring 2007, I wanted to draw more anthros and that's why I started to work hard and serious so I drawing anthros like Taomi wouldn't be so hard anymore and they would look much better. And yes, now he looked much better than before and drawing him wasn't so hard anymore.
Also there came some changes to his beast-form; now he couldn't control his beast-form at all and he must wear his bandanna when he gets angry, or else he transforms into this powerful but totally berserk beast! But after all in the summer of the same year, I created new anthro-characters like Zak and Anima and so my interest to Taomi and my other old characters faded away and so I stopped making the new comic-version of 2050: Destiny of Ninja. But I still didn't want to ban my old characters and I didn't do so.
2008:

Though I didn't draw my old characters so much anymore, I made again some new changes for Taomi. The hair around his neck was removed and his bangs and back-hair grew much more longer. Also got his tail back (YAAAY^^) and he got ability to voice like a cat like this:
Taomi:"Meow?"
And so he can now communicate with feral animals much better than others.
2009:
This is whole new drawing of Taomi. There's not major changes, but the hair around his neck now grew back. His back hair is till very long too like in 2008's version, but we can't see it so well on this pic...
So here we saw how much I've improved during these years. By the way, this Before and now- thing was originally made in 2009 and that's why there's not pic of him from 2010.
