I went out to Lonestar Speedway here in Kilgore TX this weekend for the first time in around 6 years. The flags were for a tribute lap for a staffer who passed away a few weeks ago.
The track had been shut down and was in bad shape for a long time until they reopened it last year. But luckily it survived and the racing is still fun. Rednecks, cheap beer, the smell of high octane gasoline and a lotta dust!

*jaw drops* Those are IMCA Mods! But I thought -I- was the only short track/dirt fan in the fandom! XD
Man, there's nothing like a good dirt show! Grew up at short tracks all over the northeast, and I still go to the races whenever I can.
