Ah, I see. I've been trying to find a way to color bronze and sterling with little luck, cause the patina we normally use sucks, it chips off, leaves unfinished areas, and takes a nightmare of work to make the smallest amount of color.
Regardless of if you bought materials pre-made or not, this is pretty neat stuff, I hate making any sort of chain mail, with the bracelet I made, all I had to do was join pieces of sheet metal with jump rings, and I hated every second of it. It looks like some kind of pattern was involved underneath with these since there isn't a second piercing on the opposite end of the scales.

some people do chain mail like it's a breeze, other people, including myself dread even putting jump rings together in a line. Then there were some that made these incredibly strong, overlapping jump ring chains in just 40 minutes. I guess it depends on what kind of person you are xP
