Above we have a pic of Baloo's daughter Pura all grown up, but with her are her best friends: The tigress Anya Khan, daughter of Shere Khan. And Rishika the wolf, daughter of one of Mowgli's wolf siblings, and thus Mowgli's niece. Now I know it would have been easy to give like Bagheera a daughter, but personally I wanted to have a wolf character because of the fact that Mowgli's wolf family got the shaft in the original Disney film.

Now just as the picture above, this pic is based off a cancelled idea for the Jungle Book 3. In that idea, it would have involved Baloo and Shere Khan being captured by hunters and sold to a Russian Circus, leading Mowgli and friends to go rescue them. By the end of the film, Shere Khan would have let go of his hatred of humans. Well in these pic ideas above, the same thing happened, only difference is Baloo and Shere Khan gain love interests who leave with them when Mowgli rescues them. Then eventually Baloo and his mate Gita have a daughter named Pura, Shere Khan and his mate have Anya, then inevitably the two cubs meet, then they meet Rishika and the trio become fast friends.

Pura is more or less the leader of the group, or so she believes. She is very much like her father in terms of personality, only she is a little more energetic. You see since her mother used to be a circus performer, Pura gained an appreciation for "showmanship". Generally she is the one who gets the trio into their predicaments.

Anya is basically the grumpy cynic of the group. She's serious most of the time and prides herself as a hunter. She and Pura often clashes, especially when the latter jokes with her. However, Anya does care about the other girls as her friends and genuinely enjoys being around them. Even if she won't admit it all the time.

Rishika is the more balanced one so to speak. She is neither as fun loving as Pura, nor serious like Anya, but a masterful balance of both. She is generally a very kind hearted girl, and keeps the group in check. Usually when a fight breaks out between her two friends, Rishika is the one to break it up.

One other thing I should mention is the three girls are technically hybrids. Pura is half Moon Bear, half Sloth Bear. Anya is half Bengali Tiger, and half Siberian tiger. While Rishika is a wolf dog.

You know? I may end up writing something about these three girls.
