A new arrival to my analog camera tube collection; a 30mm Plumbicon tube. This example is an English Electric Valve Leddicon, their trademarked name for a licensed lead-oxide type vidicon.
The P8400HG is a green channel tube. It's a standard triode-gun design, with a coaxial g3-g4 assembly for minimized "ringing", an integral variabvle bias light assembly, high resolution target, and an anti-microphonic mesh assembly to reduce microphony in high noise ambience~ This tube came from an RCA TK-46 from WPBT Miami. It served "in the late 70's and early 80's" and recorded PBS programs like "Nightly Business Report", and "Que Pasa USA".
Alongside the Leddicon are a few of my other tubes; a 1" Philips XQ-2075/02R Diode-Gun Plumbicon, a 2/3" Hitachi HB8397B Saticon II pickup, and a Sony 2/3" Mixed-Field Saticon III.
