A venting art, I know. Sorry because this is also my first pic of 2021, but I had to express my current feelings with Warframe.
These days, I hardly play Warframe anymore. I played this game for so long that I got very bored with it. I experienced a severe player burnout that kept me from getting an enjoyment out of it, which I'm still feeling even now. x_x That doesn't mean that I hate this game now or anything; it's just that, right now, Warframe is not my main gaming obsession anymore. That honor now goes to Phantasy Star Online 2 (PSO2), which is my current to-go gaming obsession that I play every day with. (Anyway, if you wanna team-up with me on PSO2, I can be found in Ship 04.)
There's another reason why I drew this pic. As of late, Warframe has fallen from grace, and is no longer the highly respectable game it once was. The looter shooter genre has gotten saturated as of late, with newer titles such as Outriders joining the fray, and is already looking very promising, with a demo expected to come out sometime near the end of February. Developer Digital Extremes' recent acquisition by Tencent already resulted in players coming-up with conspiracy theories with which direction Warframe will be going. Warframe's playerbase is even less than it once was, and that should be something to worry about. People hated the newer content -- I didn't even join the current time limited event, Operation: Orphix Venom, at all. Personally, that event felt like an excuse to force more players into using the Necramech suit, because their Warframes are completely useless in this event. (I even joked with a friend that, maybe, Warframe the game should be renamed to "Necramech".)
But do I want to see this game die? No way, far from it. I don't want Warframe to die; I'm just worried because the most recent updates and newer content seemed mediocre compared to what players had hoped out of this game. Maybe someday, I'll get back into playing this game as often like before; just not now. To anyone still playing Warframe: well, good for you. =3 Please continue enjoying the game like you always have.
