Andromeda - Loxocemus bicolor girl I had for a short while in 2005
Loxocemus are also called "new world sunbeam snake" because of their resemblance to Xenopeltis unicolor. Unicolor is a dark colored snake with absolutely stunning iridescence, however they are known to be somewhat difficult to keep in captivity and there are almost no successful captive breedings that I know of.
I don't like having wild snakes except possibly to establish captive bred bloodlines, and I'm certainly not ready to try my hand at unicolor any time soon!
Loxocemus bicolor, however, are much easier to keep and supposedly breed... if you can find a pair anyway XD I don't know why there aren't more, just haven't caught on I guess.

They really look it too. I have to admit though. I have a bit of a mixed relation with snakes. I think they're fascinating, but they scare the *explicative* out of me... hehe, my dad tesed me with one when I was really little... kept saying it was gonna eat me... I know that's not true now, but I'm still a little scared of them becasue of it....
but, back tot he point, They look awesome to have! XD
