Sounds totally fair. If it's any help, I specialise in helping people develop their characters' backstories. While it sounds like you've got this one in hand, if you ever want to get help with a character, I offer that. I'm a trainee therapist and know what questions to ask to help bring out sides of a character that you may not have thought about before, which means that I don't have to add anything to a character to help with their development. It's super-fun, both for me and my clients, and I have plenty of examples of my past work in my gallery, if you feel like checking it out.
