So I'm sure everyone knows about the comic I'm working on called The Challengers, but my newer followers may not know about the other comic I was working on years ago called Distance. It's a sci/fantasy epic with lots of steampunk and cyberpunk elements, and takes place on a planet inhabited by humans and a bunch of different anthro-ish races. It's never gotten out of the conceptual stage, pretty much all I've done is a few drawings of characters and different races and such. There's one race that's sorta bird/dinosaur-like, another that's basically jellyfish that inhabit humanoid robot suits, another that's aquatic and whale-like...

Anyways, for one of the races I wanted just straight-up dragons, and every race has different "subraces" (like crows/ravens for the bird race), so I thought it'd be cool if the dragons had an offshoot race of hydras. This would be a character from that race.

I imagine every hydra as a single being with one personality who just happens to have three heads, as opposed to the usual "conjoined twins" that hydras are often depicted as. And the four arms thing is just, I dunno, a way to make the race more unique and emphasize the weirdness of them having more appendages. I don't really have a name for this character yet, but I imagine she's a cute, bubbly type.
