ian flynn....the guy who made sonic unlikeable. he deleted sally acorn, the best female in the book. to give place to rose, a toxic fangirl nobody really likes.

Iann flynn has been fighting for sally(and other freedom fighters) to be in the new idw comics for a hot minute now and even supported the rally4sally sonic forces speed battle thing.

I remember this guy. I liked him and his leader Guntiver. Despite his lack of dialogue (never spoke again after his debut in issue 26), his character was defined by his actions.

Archie Sonic had quite a few interesting men, like Guntiver, Lobo, Drago, Razorklaw, and Helmut.

Archie Sonic overall had a very fleshed out world. I only started to read a few years after Flynn came on board. As of recently I decided to re-read the series and research the general lore on it. Did you know the comic only had as much freedom as it did due to Archie's poor communication with Sega? And only after the lawsuit did Sega crack down on the comic's standards. And despite the Boller/Pender drama, it still had a great lore.

it's quite a shame that it's over, but Flynn has said finishing the archie sonic run on IDW is possible and i'm always hoping it will happen one day. I wanna see Rotor once again

I want to see the old freedom fighters as well. Rotor was a great character who deserved more as I heard he became underutelized after about issue 125. At least he did get some justice post issue 200, especially in 215-216 and the issues right up before the rebbot.

I guess they just didn't know what to do with him (he even retired at 18 like waaaaay before he broke his back) but I'm glad he's slowly starting to get more screen time (currently re reading it and i'm on issue 216)

Cool. Admitelly I'd started off arbitarily (seeing the issues with my favorite characters first), but I myself in a more solid re-read am at issue 51 and 9 of the main series and universe respectively.
