Haha, how come? I am now wondering what does Mencey mean or sound like in english xD
His name is Bentayga Guanarteme; Mencey is a word from my culture that means "leader" or "king"... just because "Bentayga" was taken already. And I guess I made the mistake of puttin it first, now everyone tends to think his name is Mencey :p

I dont know the meaning but for some reason my mind automatically makes me think of "menacing" when I read the word Mencey.... not really close to the same thing at all based on the reasons why you picked it XD.
Then again maybe Proud tooth cat is proud and bold leader and is entitled to a grin like that.
