Hi! You should ask that to the owner of Scorch, he's mentioned in the description :D he probably have a backstory but I don't know it.
About the background, it's inspired by the game level "magic crafter" in Spyro 1, as asked by the customer. This game level have many spots where there is no snow but only grass, and at the beginning of the mountains, there is only ice and water.
