Yup I'm on a role. Well boys and girls meet Dex. He's a Cheeko. One of the species that live on Taquan along with the Aquok. The Cheeko are an otter like species that evolved on some of the larger islands. They're comfortable on land or in the water. They're quite good swimmers having swam no matter the occasion. Unlike the Aquok though they can't breath underwater but they can hold their breath for up to half an hour. Traditionally Cheeko have been curious and adventurous explorers. A chance to learn something new is usually all it takes to get them on your adventure. Cheeko come in various coloration and color pattern does vary but Dex here is a quite typical example.

Dex here is a young lad who just managed to get his first posting on a ship. With so many islands across their planet they're still exploring them all. And Dex is eager to help with this. As you can see Dex is also diapered. This is fairly common among their species especially those on boats. Plumbing on ships wasn't available for a long time and thusly diapers were seen as a good solution. Dex here is seen wearing a diaper with a water tight diaper cover like what the Aquok wear. Only as you can see there's a difference in appearance. That's usually purely a fashion sense thing what kind of diaper cover you use. Dex is so excited. He's using a telescope that his dad gave him. Although it may look simple it has the capacity to adjust for lens flair, boots contrast, and even has a night vision option. Quite a useful tool. Dex here is seen up high in the sails of the ship. Although it does have an engine they still like to use sail power to augment it so they can conserve fuel.
