Another map, this one in a slightly different style. This one doesn't currently have any stories set in it, though it was the inspiration for my previously posted nursery rhyme. Starting in the northwest, the labeled areas are:
The Stumps; once a logging operation, from which most of the timber for Ternview village was cut, the region was abandoned during the onset of the Freeze.
The Broken Hovel; no one remembers who lived here, so far from civilization, and so deep in the dark wood. Foragers and would-be adventures report strange whispers and hanging fetishes near the hut.
The Hollow; a large clearing in the otherwise densely packed forest. Many a gathering has been held here, usually by village youth looking to escape the eyes of their elders.
The Old Sycamore; a lone and broken sycamore tree. It's trunk is gnarled and ax-scared. The canopy seems to shy from its barren branches.
Brennard's Lighthouse; a sturdy, brick lighthouse, plastered in white. Dedicated to Brennard, who protects sailors and fills their nets with fish, the lighthouse also serves as a place of worship.
Ternview Village; the largest settlement to have been built on the island, and the sole remaining. The people of Ternview, mostly dwarves and kobolds, make their living on the water, harvesting fish, mussels, lake kelp, and crayfish. The village is bordered by a long, iron fence, to keep out whatever lives in the forest.
