A good place to notice is the sound effects in Contra 3, compare a real cart to snes9x/zsnes and it's not pleasant. But I'm just an oldschool nut who's an accuracy snob with emulation. :p
I'd still recommend giving snesgt a shot because it's simply a far superior prog and it's GUI is simple and a lot like snes9x.
