bandwagon, here I come!
this is the first picture I ever did of what was later to become ym fursona. developed for a fantasy RPG I tried to go different ways... handbag for a backpack, sword worn in hand, no armoury... didn't last long, that one. our GM back when had no eye for character challenge rates and threw nearly impossible obstacles our way (also due to a pretty much imbalanced magic system), which my characters were the first to fall prey to. the shortest time was a mere 30 seconds until the character was dead... outside of combat! XD
I didn't sign or date my pics back when, so my guess goes to '95.
in '98 I attended my very first furry con and suddenly needed a fuzzy representation of myself (I never shed a deeper thought to it), and picked that one lion; easy to draw, no uneccesary details, no complicated fur marks, only black-maned lion around... so be it.
the main differences between '98 and now are that my fursona goes more towards my RL body shape, and has nails instead of retractable claws. also, the throat mane and cheek mane bits were removed and replaced by a flowing mane and prominent sideburns.

thank you. *bows* you know, looking back can warp memories. I forgot how bad my stuff was back when...
progress is slow, though, I had nobody to critic my works, or show me how to get better for almost 13 years... still took me a lot of work to actually make something out of it. :P
