We kick off the old year and welcome the new one with the final part of the grand trio! This time Jarex and I share a nice moment during the interview, exploring what the cyrrent and future plans of the Buffverse will be.
Phew! This is the conclusion to the big 3 series: Buffverse edition. This seems to be the start of a nice series, actually. I do hope this is a pleasurable reading and that I may get to improve my qualities as an interviewer. I still have much to aspire so you can be sure that I'll have more of this coming!
Comments, faves and watches are all welcomed, I sure hope you enjoy it! Down here there's the trasncript, for those that do not wish to download it:
Welcome once more to my little ongoing project, this time we have the pleasure to meet with Jarex, the hyena behind the Buffverse server! Today we shall enter some rather interesting topics on the server status! Without further ado, we begin
Jarex: Hello! I am so excited to be interviewed. Been eager after seeing how fun it was with Garou and Deadly’s.
Mastalf: Oh well, we sure had fun in those, I am sure this one will be as cool as the others
Now, tell us, how did the idea for the Discord server began? Was it a mutual ideation or something that turned from your own mind?
Jarex: So originally the idea for the server was something I had brought up to Garou and Deadly after Garou introduced me to him. But I will not take credit for the server because they did always want to make a server, but they did not know how to get it started, and thus I took reigns on the initial server to start and boom! The buffverse server was born.
Mastalf: So, you can say that you are the "tech brain" behind its creation
Jarex: Initially yes. Though I definitely have to say that as of now Slug and Dandi are the “tech” side of it now.
Mastalf: And where does that leave you?
Jarex: That really leaves me as the sort of man in the middle watch over the servers. Making channels and what not. I still handle to organization of it mostly.
Mastalf: You would work as a general manager of sorts, planning future events and story archs!
Jarex: Yes! When it’s actually story based with the buffverse I do work as the sort of planner for the future events, I at least get them in a coherent order, so the others have a reference for the plan we have. Any ideas our crew comes up with I keep track on it for later, characters we may use, introduce and such. Outside of a few Garou and Deadly have told me of course.
Mastalf: Well, seems we got a responsible manager in here. How does it feel to work side to side with all these artists, is there a good dynamic or some aspects that need improvement?
Jarex: Honestly as is working with everyone has been so much fun. As of right now without giving anything away we are just about to really get into the swing of things for the buffverse. Being able to work with so many talented artists has been amazing so far. And the same I would say for our writing crew as well. I would say as is once we get into the actual buffverse we will have a good dynamic. It is only a matter of time.
Mastalf: Speaking of which, are you going to play any role in the future iterations of the Buffverse?
Jarex: As an artist? That is a goal is to be at the level to where I can make quality art for the buffverse. In the writing department I actually have wrote a couple stories for later to expand on a character in the buffverse a bit more on top of actually writing a few comics to be featured later. Being able to bring my own characters into my favorite artist’s universe AND have them have relationships to some of my personal favorite characters from Garou honestly is something I never thought I would think would happen.
Mastalf: You could say this is a fanboy's dream come true
Jarex: Oh, most definitely
Mastalf: Would you agree that the stories that will be told will gather more fans on different platforms?
Jarex: Heh ummm that is a hard one. I would say that we have a variety of stories told with muscles if that makes sense. I feel with the stories we will have something for everyone without giving anything away. We work as a team to make a story that we feel everyone will enjoy but in our own way of telling it.
Mastalf: After all, big muscles are a main theme! Considering the main theme of the series, will you plan some other topics in these comics?
Jarex: We plan to explore some other topics and general themes outside of what is on the surface. These characters are diverse and unique, and we want our stories to show off what leads up to and makes them who they are.
Mastalf: Without spoilers, will these themes involve some character growth?
Jarex: Put plain and simple, YES haha.
Mastalf: Haha, that is what everyone strives! As we get close to the end, got any words for the fans, current and future?
Jarex: For our current fans, thank you for all the support so far. And to the ones for the future, I hope you enjoy the world we bring to life with our crazy characters. We are really trying to make this stand out and be a whole universe that yes is heavily muscle centered but fun for everyone to enjoy.
Mastalf: This is indeed just the beginning of a growing universe; I am excited to see what becomes of this. With the following segment we shall conclude our interview. Get ready for the quick question round!
Jarex: Hit me with your best shot!
Mastalf: Muscle furs or fat furs?
Jarex: Muscle furs
Mastalf: Should pizza have pineapples?
Jarex: No
Mastalf: Who's a good boy?
Jarex: Me!
Mastalf: In one word describe Garou
Jarex: Dedicated
Mastalf: How bright is the Buffverse universe future?
Jarex: As bright as the sun, for cliche factor XD
Mastalf: Well, Jarex, thanks you for your time! It is time for the final words
Jarex: I really, really enjoyed my time with this haha. I am honestly surprised it is over. Thanks for having me! Oh, one more thing. Chad is best boy.
Mastalf: He sure is, and you're most welcome! Everyone, this is Jarex, the one behind the beginning of the Buffverse server. We have yet to see what surprises they have for us, but I can already tell that they will be of magnificent proportions. Until next time!
