I imagine that the vixen herself is daring, skilled and very capable of handling herself but has some romantic feelings towards her lupine bodyguard so she doesn't mind at all being this close to him and feeling his protective arm around her. Likely it goes both ways and he's devoted to her though as her bodyguard isn't sure whether it's right to reveal his feelings or even allow himself to feel that way in case it compromises him.

I could easily see some bondage scenarios, maybe with the wolf bodyguard wanting to show the vixen the best ways to get free of bonds so requiring her to bind him as securely as she can and then watching carefully while he demonstrates how to get free.
