I was going through my gallery, and I noticed that I had more art of Pop-Pop and Junior together than art of him with Mamie.

A lot of the art featuring Junior and Pop-Pop captures the latter's role as both a father figure and as someone who is teaching Junior how to have fun.

Junior's relationship with Mamie is a bit different though. Due to her dwarfism, Mamie was unable to naturally have children of her own. While she takes her role as Junior's teacher quite seriously, she can't help but also treat him as the baby she never had a chance to have.

A lot of the art that features Junior and Mamie shows him looking a bit embarrassed by her motherly doting, but this picture does a good job of showing his true emotions regarding the situation. Junior didn't have a mother figure when he was growing up, so allowing Mamie to baby him has allowed him to feel things he didn't think he was capable of, such as vulnerability and innocence.

I deliberately chose to have this picture done this way for two reasons. The first was to highlight just how strange it is for such a tiny woman to treat such a large, powerful man as her baby. The second reason though, is to show how that strangeness doesn't matter, at least to the two of them.

Marmotap did an excellent job of capturing the bond between Junior and Mamie, which is that of a mother tenderly loving her child. This pic means a lot to me, and I sincerely hope you all enjoy it as well❣️
