"...and while all Greater Yinglets display a fascinating array of biological differences, one of the most fascinating breeds is the Jungle Fainting Yinglet. While typically more drab in color than the swamp yinglets and those of the Val Salian passage, both sexes sport a long train of fur along the rump and tail. When startled, the yinglet seems to faint, pitching forward onto the chest, closing the eyes, and raising the rump high in the air. This reveals the bright white underfur of the train, along with two large spots resembling the eyes of a large predator. While this seems effective in repelling the few creatures that would try to make a meal of a yinglet, they are not immune to their own displays. Indeed, this researcher found a group of five Jungle Fainting Yinglets in a line, all having been frightened by the rump display of the first, who was startled by a falling nut."
