Dragon's Desire Part 10
And our hero's new life begins. I for one can't imagine how it feels to have interchangeable parts that you can actually feel...

That has got to feel so weird having parts of you removed and replaced with different ones, not to mention the part where your original parts are being stored away somewhere. It's like having a limb replaced while knowing the original is just sitting over in the closet and can be put back at any time.
Very much so. Once you get over the extremely strange sensation and disturbed thoughts though I would wonder if it would make things a little less worrisome to know that organ failure isn't a critical issue to worry about in your life anymore. Although if you retained feeling in those other parts...that would be disturbing...
By the way, thanks for the fav!

It actually does make me wish we were more modular. Lose a limb, simply replace it. Bad organs, we've got replacements. I get why it happens, but I hate that tissue/organ rejection is a thing.
Retaining feelings in those other parts, yeah I agree that would be disturbing. I like to think that the parts would have to be in direct contact to transmit sensations, but it would be fun to explore a situation where you can feel part of yourself in another room.
