This will be the central hub for the American Mustelid Alpha project. Here you’ll find the index for all of our content, be it the main episodes, the art or anything extra we might come up with! This will be updated every time anything new is posted, and will remain the featured submission on our page for ease of access. Please watch, like, leave comments and provide us with any kinda feedback you might have! We’re kinda new at this, so we look forward to any constructive criticism that may help us bettering our craft.
American Mustelid Alpha is a collaborative project between Qovapryi and Harlow, depicting a fictitious reality show that brings twelve everyday mustelid warriors to compete in a series of grueling physical and mental challenges until only one remains. Each episode will feature three challenges: Teams, where the players will be divided into two competing squads led by captains and be asked to prove their cooperation and leadership skills; Individuals, where the losing team members will be forced to turn against each other and showcase their own worth to set themselves apart from the rest; Duel, where the bottom two will get one last chance at safety to escape elimination. Eventually, only one of these 12 prime mustelids will rise through the ranks and claim the title of American Mustelid Alpha, as well as the $250,000 cash prize that comes with it!
While the story features a good amount of physicality, bravado and mutual one-upping, there’s a big focus on social life, friendships, rivalries, assorted drama and much much more! The winner of AMA will take the helm to represent his whole family in the new way a leader should be nowadays: we intend the owner of said title to showcase the capacity to be assertive, dominant and self-confident without dictating, excluding or intimidating his peers.
The story will be released in a serial format. Each episode will be posted in two parts for easier reading, coming out on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It will feature mildly mature content, but nothing explicit.

And yeah we got two HUGE otters in our ranks! It's nice that people seem to like them, I've always felt the fandom's representation of otters has sorta put them into the small-and-overtly-cute stereotype. Big, beefy lutrines FTW! :)

Our goal when we started this project was to represent a model of non-toxic masculinity that goes beyond the typical expectations that lie within our society, and that comes mostly from a setting where you get these specific people to interact together - of which you will find many examples over the course of the episodes.
There are many shows that are focused for men with a male-only cast, and many focused on women that have women-only casts. We set down to write this story, with this particular cast, because we felt free to tell it and focus on this particular direction, as should everyone on any creative endeavor. And we truly believe we got a hell of a story to tell.

All these big strong men. Don't know who I love more. I do love a man whose body hair matches their head hair. *looking at Omar* But then again, I do love a man with some meat on his bones. *looks at Michael* And if he does have an Australian accent, he's definitely got my attention and adoration. XD
