Gasp, new art! Yes, even in the middle of uploading a bunch of my older stuff I'm still drawing new stuff too. This is my character Naya who has appeared in several previous drawings of mine.

Usually when I've drawn her in the past she's been a quadroped, but here I decided to let her be anthro for the purposes of getting to wear a fun outfit involving lots of black leather. That's always a good reason isn't it? :) She's a pretty powerful magic user so she tends to hop back and forth as it suits her. Being anthro is also of course ideal for enjoying her Corvette C3 while blasting across the desert listening to classic rock.

That's why I post it here. ^^ Trouble is a few things really. As a grad student I only have so much time to split up, and I take any responsibility very seriously. So if I had people waiting on commissions AND was trying to get my dissertation done, I'd probably explode and stress out and not be able to get anything done toward either. Besides that, my inspiration and ability to draw really comes and goes. Sometimes I'll draw several big things in a week, other times I'll go half a year without ever feeling up for drawing anything. It's too erratic for me to ever feel comfortable making other people rely on it. Most of all it's just a pretty personal thing for me, a way for me to share what I've got in my heart and mind, something I do for fun and relaxation and the sharing of creativity. I'd much rather keep it casual enough that I can continue to enjoy it in that way rather than risk ruining that by making it a big thing that's suddenly for everyone else instead of myself.
Maybe that's a lil selfish, but I still happily share the work I do and there are plenty of other artists out there who do take commissions and would be delighted for the business. ^^ In any case I'm flattered by the interest, just sorry to disappoint!

As it is I think she's got more drawings and development than any other characters of mine beyond my own dragon self. :) But yeah I really like her, of any character I've ever come up with for any story or roleplay she feels the most deep and 'real' to me. And she's fun to draw. ^..^ Glad you like her too!
