Working with color again. Trying to make myself understand it even a little bit. Had to make up this character's palette on the spot. I made Paola a little more colorful than I normally would, but decided to forgoe even messing with highlights. Her anatomy ended up being more drakelike than simply being a flying snake. That would have been so fucking lazy on my part. So would making the crown of feathers she has one color rather than a blend like the quetzel bird whose type of plumage I was emulating. Keeping the wings simplistic in layers is a much better idea than doing things the same as with bird wings. Part web or arm frame with the feathers growing out makes a little more sense. If The other dragons' wings should be like leather cloaks, then I'll treat Paola's wings like a cape when they aren't spread out.
