"Soda, check. Chips, check. Chocolate Pocky, check. Strawberry Pocky, check. Popcorn, check. Pretzels, check. Meat and cheese tray, check." Sakura mumbled to herself as she pulled things out of the grocery bags in the kitchen. She put things in a neat row on the counter and separated items on the table. She took out bowls and plates and poured the various snacks and candies into them. Her tails swished happily behind her as she did so.

In the next room Sly put away some other things they'd bought while out and moved into the living room to pick up the remote for the television. He turned it on and selected the streaming service he was looking for and cracked a smile at the selection that displayed on the screen.

Sakura came in a moment later with a bucket of popcorn and a pack of pocky in hand. She handed them to Sly, and he took them with a polite "Thank you sis." She smiled in return and moved back into the kitchen to retrieve a few more snacks. A moment later she emerged again from the kitchen and set a couple drinks on the table and smiled at the selection on the screen herself. A new set of footsteps entered the room and both Sly and Sakura looked up to see their older sister Pearl walking in.

"So it's New Years Eve. What do you two have planned?" asked the three tailed vixen curiously seeing the setup they have.

"Only the best way to ring in the new year Pearl." said Sakura a little excitedly as she took a seat on the couch next to Sly.

"And that would be?" asked Pearl as she raised an eyebrow seeing the bright images illuminating the screen.

Sly turned an eye to Sakura and a knowing grin spread across both of their muzzles before they simultaneously shouted "Anime Binge!" together.

Pearl shook her head with her own smile. It always amused her to see her younger siblings so excited about anime. "You two have fun. I'm going to raid some of your snacks, and I'll be around for the ball drop. Call me when it's close to midnight." she said as she waved on past them into the kitchen.

"So what should we watch first?" asked Sakura as Sly flipped through the selection of shows.

"I think we should start off with a little Dr. Stone." he replied.

"Ooh good one. I want to watch some Demon Slayer after." chirped the vixen next.

"Sounds good." he said as he selected Dr. Stone.

Looks like Sly and Sakura have a good handle on how to spend the long hours in wait before the end of the current year and the start of the new one.
