Vector the crocodile had thought that he could harness chaos energy from what he believed to be a chaos emerald similar to sonic. But as you can see, it didn't go quite as he planned.

As Vector wandered around in the city back alleys, he came across what he believed to be a chaos emerald. The music enthusiast crocodile thought of what he would be capable of doing if he could harness the emerald's energy for himself. Vector imagined his small business with Charmy and Espio doing ever so slightly better if he had just a little more strength. But it was largely due to these selfish desires that Vector was unable to harness the power that he wanted.

Vector picked up the shiny blue emerald, looking at how it reflected light into his eye. Suddenly, the emerald seemed to emanate an intense wave of light that blinded Vector causing him to drop the emerald back to the ground. When Vector's vision renewed, he stared at the emerald that was now melting into a gooey fluid. Did not take long for Vector to notice the same fluid pooling around him. Vector felt the coldness of the fluid around his legs and lower pelvis as well as running along his tail. Vector lifted his hands to see the fluid seeping through his gloves as it quickly spread, he watched as his gooey fingers stuck together and how the fluid dripped into the growing pool around him. Vector could feel the gooey fluid forming around the tip of snout and felt the fluid dripping from his lower jaw on to his chest.

The fluid continued to spread as it melted Vector's body into a slime like gooey fluid. Eventually, Vector is reduced into nothing more than a heaping pile of gooey fluid. Then after a short while, the goo then starts to rise and shape into the form of a crocodile. Vector's features form on the fluid crocodile as its jaw shapes and the dripping fluid forms into teeth with a slimy tongue hanging from its jaws. Vector lays his gooey fluid hands on the ground as he struggles to force his legs and tail to form out of the remaining piled gooey fluid around him. All while Vector struggled and succumbed to the strange slimy fluid, the emerald melted with him and became a part of Vector's new body. Looks like Vector will have to face the rest of his existence as a servant and creature of pure Chaos.
