First and foremost, I cannot begin to even properly discuss this absolutely gorgeous creature without first thanking two people.
Evalensy, the amazing and wonderfully talented artist who did the whole reference sheet, who literally sat with me with my wild and crazy ideas for an entire MONTH, working with me and making an absolute dream come to life. I will never even come close to thanking them properly for all the time, effort, and dedication they put into this reference sheet. I've told them this before (and anyone who's had the misfortune of listening to me rant about how amazing and wonderful this is (sooowwieee)), but finding this MYO/YCH auction was like a dream come true for me. I've mentioned it before but I am absolutely entranced with not only Japanese culture over all but particularly their myths, legends, ghosts, and demons. So to come across this absolutely stunning portrayal of a Jorogumo was like an actual fantasy come to life. And then, once I had been told that she was to be mine, I won't lie, I had a bit of a heart attack. Immediately I had this image in my head of what she was to be, and I was genuinely terrified that I would be asking too much. But bless for sticking with it and truly allowing my ideas to take flight. And I have no shame in saying that she's come out even more beautiful and stunning than I'd ever imagined. She's come together in a way that is just absolutely Perfect. I couldn't ask for more.
No really, I couldn't. Because told me to go hog wild and I absolutely did and really can't think of anything else that I could possibly add to her.
And of course, a dear old friend.
So now, with all that sappy stuff out of the way, I bring you Hanatsuma the Jorogumo; a new thrilling addition to my stories, my muse, and my new main Fursona. Each part of her design is something that means the world to me, and I am so incredibly eager to share it all with you.
I hope and prey (wheeze I'm hilarious) that I can do her as much justice as has, and that she brings a world of endless wonders to you all.
