My last drawing of a tumultuous year, a simple anthro depiction of the Aztec God Quetzalcoatl (still annoyed at that fucking "dragon" maid anime for slapping his glorious name onto some random bimbo) holding a Macuahuitl and glaring at something out-of-frame. I knew I wanted a nice beefcake shot of him but the hard part was thinking what his pose and attire would be, so I scoured for artwork depicting either Quetzalcoatl in a more humanoid form (a badass warrior, thank goodness) or just art of Aztec warriors. Those old Aztec depictions of their gods are incredibly-cluttered for the weird, simplistic style they were drawn in, at least compared to Ancient Egyptian, Sumerian, Greco-Roman, and Medieval Christian and Muslim religious artwork.
