I figured I'd start off my gallery by going through my sketch book. This one has been a work in progress for maybe 2 years now. I bound this book with the materials I had on hand. Card stock, water colour paper, waxed thread, glue, and masking tape. It's held up surprisingly well! I've done binding projects way more complex and with better materials (which I may show off later ?) This is filled with on and off work and mostly filled with doodles, project research and preliminary sketches for larger pieces. This piece is my cover (water colour, pen, colour pencil), dubbed "Decay". The writing goes as follows, and forgive me if it's bad I wrote it myself on the fly 2 years ago. "The World exists in cycles of decay, abandoned homes become overgrown what was nee becomes old as Mother Earth reclaims what is rightfully Hers. What was once the home of brain matter becomes a spider's cave, the Bones of industrial complexes over-taken by rust. Their echoing screams sounding through the walls. Their skeletons wrought with vines, Wilting flowers and rotting animals becoming fertilizer and food for the Vultures."
