OK, - not furry art in the true sense of the term - but I figured I should put more of my own artwork up. I'm not keen on posting full images of my main work (paintings) here right now. These are details of two sculptures I did in 1990.
The parts were made separately out of FIMO then attached before baking. Rather than being painted the colors were arrived at by mixing the clays. When worked with this way one retains the richness of this material, and can achieve some great color without giving up detail. (...in my case just my fingerprints as evidence of the artist and all that...)
They were made to hang on the wall. Above what you see on the left, the spoon's (dark thing's) handle continues, with a syringe (it's blue needle at top of pic) lying on top of it. On the right the dark brown electric cord ends in a plug.
Crap, I see now that I didn't center the image on the right. - too lazy to hunt down the .psd though -

Worked on my dino sculpture at AC.
Oh BTW, here's a pic of me donkey: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/755990
I took a look at your work and it's quite nice too. I'll look some more now.
Fingerprints... are totally a hazard of working with polymer clay. There's a couple of options for nixing them though: Brushing down with Sculpey 'clay softener' liquid after you're done (don't touch after! trust me!), or fine grit sandpaper to buff out the prints.
BTW, just realized, I met you last year at FWA... And turns out, Bolt was trying to figure out how to get in touch with you; I was kinda clued in by you being local, the donkey fursona, and the "straight_furries" group tag in your profile, since you were wearing a button that said 'Straight' at FWA.
Thanks for the tips too. As far as the fingerprints, they're OK with me for stuff like this. However when I do my Jackpot sculpture I may try SuperSculpy and one or both of the techniques you mentioned.
