Wow only three submissions from me this year, thats kinda sad. ANYWAY, I've always been a fan of the X-men and the X-men Animated Series. So after finishing the book; X-men the art and making of the animated series I was inspired to go back and try another animation cel. The book had hundreds of model sheets for animators and I couldn't resist trying my favorite male x-man, the Beast, Dr. H. McCoy.
First, switching to a lighter weight durlar / acetate made handling a lot easier, and I only needed my cotton gloves for parts of the process. Second, switching from a nib pen to fine brush came out a lot better. Third, because the acetate sheet was bigger than the bed of my scanner there is some blur at my signature and shadowing behind the beast. (you can also see the particulate on the glass)
