The official theme track to
's awesome comic, "Cruelty", which can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3988369/
Guitars and Pianos always seem to go hand in hand. (Except strings bust my fingers on a regular basis). I Also wanted it relatively simple, so the more expressionate aspects of the instruments come through and portray the more romantic aspects of the story.
Thanks to those that take a listen!

Agreed, I was thinking something either sad like - Relive -, or "angry", when I read the title.
Still, a good piece :3

WOW you sure pulled out the real-izm with your sampling in this track, if your using east west i know it's allot of work to get anything near this sound, extremely well done. :D violins are used so well too.. nice composition as always, i definitely enjoyed it! :)
btw, are you going to be getting the Hollywood strings pack? it is O.O

Straight from the musician to the heart, if judging my comment as well as the others fto you.
As always, amazing recording and a great concept go hand in hand with you, and you can feel the Amore in the air with this melodic piece. :)
The ending gives room for an inquisitive thought, taking purchase in your mind until you find yourself thinking about it at a completely unrelated time days later-- I've been known to dfo that.
Just like all of your compositions, an extremely powerful and moving piece. ♥
And, for ther record, I honestly did shed a tear for this.

This is beginning to be unfair. All of the sudden Rukis adds wonderful storytelling to already stunning art, and now there's music? By you? I'm really amazed at how much has been put into this "test comic." This piece really fits, as well, though given that I can't stop listening to your other music, I'm not that surprised. I just had to pause Dark Rose to listen to this, for the record.
Absolutely beautiful, Foxy. The notes speak of the love the two characters find with each other. Very quickly your melody reminded me of "Storybook Love", the theme to the movie "The Princess Bride". My endless compliments to you and your talent! *huggles*
I really like this.
It's soft and it has that capturing feel to it.
But I don't think it goes with the Comic very well. The comic itself has a feeling of depravity at parts, yet keeps a romantic/ explorative feel, you know?
I love the piece, and feel it goes well with the comic at parts, but maybe not the -best- theme for Cruelty? Just my two cents, Dunno if it matters n.n;
Well done, Fox! n.n

Thanks for listening to it, and it does matter, I appreciate the input! ^^
I guess it depends on what aspects of the comic the reader takes in the most. I decided to take the more romantic route, to try and make that the main focus of the story. I was tempted to make it a lot more "depraved" or Dark in some areas, but I decided to keep it more direct. I'm kinda glad I did because someone else created a nice dark and sombre theme that I think captures the other side of the comic pretty well.
I hope that clears it up somewhat! Thanks again :3

i have to kinda agree with zerox just above Foxy :) it does have that feeling its missing something in it. its a very nice piece regardless, but it just feels like its only "half" ya know? :)
hope that its to your liking and rukis' as well though, cuz that is the most important part^_^

This is so beautiful I can't sufficiently express how much so it is. You could compose for movies from the sound of this piece. Heck you are already better than some composers out there already!!!! This inspires me to create my own similar music, but alas. I have no tools to do so, and I wouldn't be in the same league as you. Oh well.... at least I can sing.
(I am hearing it while I write)
I don't have words to describe this musical work, it takes me to think
to dream, to remember, lost memoirs, I don't really find an appropriate one
sentence for this interpretation.
I am almost in two worlds.
I have seen the comic I also love it
Excellent work that of both, God willing there are more people cooperating
Happiness and a hug from Mexico.

This song is so soothing and filled with so much emotion. Talented work, dude. Are you a pro composer? If not, heh, you could've fooled me. I pray that you're going for it because you have some excellent talent. Rooting for the best for you. Keep up the great work. God bless you!
I really enjoy the guitar alongside the piano -- I have always loved the two paired as in my opinion they are the two prettiest sounding acoustic insturments, and their sounds compliment each other. You mentioned in another post the piano you use; what is the guitar? I have only an ovation and a chinese made fender, but yours sounds so much better than mine does.
Also, as a tip for not busting your fingers: if you don't play enough to build up calluses, then put a piece of masking tape on the tip of your finger. You keep the feeling and the grip, yet it pads up your fingers a bit so they don't slice.
I especially like from :50 to 1:30 and from 2:00 to 2:45; I loved the guitar and piano playing back the parts to eachother

I know I never commented on this but when I listen to this now Reis almost instantly comes to my mind because the music fits his turmoils he is going through in life.
It just bring a lump to my throat at how vividly I connect with him on such a deep level like I know what the music means and it talks to me in an emotional comforting way of I can relate with Reis because like him I have demons in my closet which I sometimes have to deal with alone even when I have my Marcus with me.
Only somebody who has been through this will get it and I do better then most.
When I read the comic while i was listening to this I almost cried as I could feel Reis's pain as he reflected on what happened to him as a kid and then an older teen.
If this sounds really deep I'm sorry but I'm so much like Reis minus the drug habit it almost is paranormal.
