A personal work for myself. My character Kail as a kid, and some random baby red dragon who wants to tag along in hopes of getting food. :P Believe or not, it originally started out with me wanting to redraw an old picture of him as an adult fighting a dragon. :P
I cannot believe how long it took me to complete this. X___X I finally dug up the original sketch from like, uh, 2 months ago I believe. And then it literally took me about an hour using my transfer method, about 2 hours of inking, about an hour an a half on the background, an hour on the kitty character, and another hour a half on the dragon. @___@ So about 7 hours including sketch time. Watercolors are slow but fun. D: This is a mix of watercolor and a little bit of marker.
I think I might get this matted and framed and put up in my room. I like the background. :)

watercolurs can make for nifty effects. :) back in school they made us create a 'fog'-ridden landscape image using splots of water with pigments flowing away. some tables looked like THEY were about to flow away from all the water sploshing around. XD
playful and adorable, prime children's book stuff. :) I love their merry expressions and the little speech bubbles. :) why Kail would go fishing armed & dangerous is beyond me, but I guess he's prepared for everything. :)

Thank you! Well, his sword and shield are wooden, I doubt he's too dangerous with that. :) And these particular red dragons are a bit derpy when they are young, that's why the should be kept in a nest, but this little guy got out and to the right house really. X)
